July 8

Well, I had to go off the xenadrine for about a week because I didn't want it to conflict with my sinus meds., but am back on it. Gained 1 lb. back in that week. Just started back on the xenadrine again today, so will have to keep my eye on the scale again!

Good Luck, Shawna! Hopefully we can keep it together, together!

Sat. June 27

I can't believe it! I broke through my plateau and reached my first goal. It took 13 days, but I've now lost 10 lbs.!

Friday July 26th

It's been almost 2 weeks now. I've only lost one more pound in the past several days, but I guess that's something. I still have lots of energy from the xenadrine. I'm also still not craving the junk food (or any food really!) so am making more healthy choices for my eating habits. After reading about so many other people's posts, I wonder if I'm not taking in enough calories to jump start my body into the overdrive it needs to kick up my metabolism. Could be why I've plateaued here. But being down this much weight in less than 2 weeks is still a big step, so I'm pleased. I'm down one pants size and it won't take much to drop another. So, the process continues!

Wed. a.m.

Down another pound. I'm really liking this. Had a banana and about 2 oz. of granola with 4 oz. OJ for breakfast. Took 2 capsules. That was 1.5 hours ago and still not jittery or anything. No change in heart rate, temp., or anything else. Am SOOOO not hungry and easily turned down the offer of a soda. Am wearing shorts comfortably that I hadn't worn in a loooongggg time. Woo-Hoo!

2 days of weight loss

Well, I am officially down 6 pounds to 158 lbs. in two days. It seems strange to be disappointed to "only" lose 2 lbs. in one day, but I really liked that 4 lb. first day drop. I am still only taking the one pill, twice a day. I don't want to take the xenadrine in the evening as I don't want to take the chance that it will keep me up like it did the first night.

Since I have not experienced any but minimal side effects, I am going to up the ante and take 2 with a light breakfast in the a.m.

I have now gone down 1 notch in my belt, so something is definitely going on. The measurements have altered slightly also. Changes occured in my: thighs - 1/2" difference and 1" difference in the stomach area. I realize that these can be attributed to water weight, exact place of measurement, and how tight I pull the tape. But I am trying to be consistent. Hopefully these are at least semi-accurate.

But the appetite suppressor is still working. And the energy is still there. Was also alert and "up" all day. Don't know if the good feeling comes from the xenadrine or just the thought of weight loss. Who cares! It's still there! I also had no desire to curl up and take a nap. Coming from a bi-polar person who has ALWAYS looked for the chance to get a nap, this is very odd. I still have no craving for soda, or anything else for that matter. If this is a side effect, bring it on!

3:00 Tues.

At 3:00, I finally sat myself down to have lunch. I last ate at 8 this a.m. Again, I still wasn't hungry, but knew that I had to eat something. I had 1/2 oz. cheese, 1 slice 8 grain bread, and about 1 cup of watermelon/canteloupe chunks. I washed it down with about 6 oz. of lemonade. This is a typical lunch for me, except the portions were about 1/2. I also took another capsule of xenadrine. The first one of the day was taken with breakfast, which was 1/4 cup of blueberry/apple juice granola from publix and about 2 oz. of dried mango all washed down with about 6 oz. of fresh orange juice. So far, I haven't changed anything that I regularly eat, I am just having to force myself to eat. Without being hungry or craving anything (ESPECIALLY soda!), I have to remember to eat something. And when I do eat, I am still only eating very small portions. At least they are small for me. I can't "weight" to get home to see the scale! How many times have you ever said that?!

36 hours

After 36 hours, I'm down even more. I took my measurements because my clothes are looser and I forgot to do that to begin with. As of 7 a.m. on June 16, I have a 37.5" chest, 34" waist, 37" stomach, and 44" thighs. That hurt to write that, but at least I'm on my way! The weight is

Plantar fasciitis

FYI

For anyone suffering from plantar fasciitis, the amazon carousel has both the type of shoe and the shoe insert that was prescribe by my podiatrist. He specified New Balance in the 600 series and Superfeet inserts. Neither is expensive when compared to the surgery or the specialized shoes/inserts. They seem to be helping me, along with aleve twice a day for inflammation. I also ice my feet, which though uncomfortable, helps in the long run. Remember to speak to your dr. first and find out what YOUR dr. prescribes. I was just lucky enough not to need the expensive things.

end of day 1

Here it is, end of 24 (actually 26) hrs. after starting the Xenadrine. I still have quite a bit of energy. I took one pill last night around 7 or so and one today around noon. I haven't had any side effects other than dropping 4 pounds. I am now 159 lbs. I had a sandwich and juice at lunch and a small piece of steak and juice at dinner. I also had several pecan pieces while my sister was chopping them up. I am very alert and not tired at all. Since it was a day off, I did take a short nap. I haven't done any exercising. My pulse and breathing rates are normal and I am not nauseated. Still not interested in eating though. Did so just because I knew I needed it. I was also afraid that the ingredients might affect my foot problems, but nothing so far.

So far, so good.

For real?

Well, it's been about 18 hours since I took the first Xenadrine RFA-1. The only effect I've felt is that of increased energy. In fact, I probably shouldn't have taken it that late at night. I was working on trying to get this site up and going until 5 a.m. Not a bit tired. Not jittery, just not tired. I did spend some time in the bathroom, but nothing uncomfortable or anything. I haven't been hungry and in fact, REALLY don't want anything. I usually wake up starving, but I have no desire to eat. I made myself a sandwich and am drinking some juice just because I know I need it. The scale is either really off, or something serious has happened. There's a 3-4 pound difference between 7 p.m. last night and 1:30 today. Alot of this could be attributed to hormones at this time of the month. I need to reserve judgment, but so far, so good. The only thing that is really different is the amount of energy I have. I am usually craving a nap about the time I roll out of bed, but have only had 4 hours of sleep and only want the nap out of habit. I'm also in a better frame of mind mentally than I have been in the past few weeks, which is kind of nice.

More later!

I have had a couple of friends try this detox and all have thought it was on par with a colon cleansing, but much cheaper. It takes longer and you go through some uncomfortable stages, but the result is worth it.

What got me started blogging!

FYI,
Here's a link that got me started in my journaling. There's lots of good information here regarding the original Xenadrine RFA-1 and some of the other products.

Day 1

History: I was just over 150 lbs. and decided to try a weight loss product. I chose Xenadrine at random. I remember the side effects from when I first started the original Xenadrine with the ephedra alkaloids. My pulse rose, I sweated more, sometimes I was nauseated if I didn't eat anything of substance before I took it, and I actually wanted to drink more water. I didn't even crave soda's anymore. THAT was a big shock! I'd been a soda junkie my entire life! But after a short time, I had everything evened out and the weight fell off of me. Here I am at a Halloween party in 2004 after 3 months on the original formula of xenadrine. I weigh 113 lbs. here and am completely comfortable with my appearance.

A lot has happened since 2004 and I've not been able to keep the weight off without the Xenadrine (gotta love the FDA for "helping us" with this product). I have tried Xenadrine EFX, hydroxycut, Metabolife, and several other products. Waste of money for me.
But when I saw that magic phrase "RFA-1" last week, I started keeping my fingers crossed that lightning would strike twice.

Day one in my experiment to see if the new "Xenadrine RFA-1" is as good as the original. My starting weight is 164 lbs. and I'm 5'2" (5'3" if I do my hair right! :D). I was walking for exercise but learned I have plantar fasciitis. Big words that mean my feet hurt all of the time and I'm not supposed to be on them much. I swim when I can and enjoy bike riding when I've got a partner. Not as often as I'd like, but I was spoiled by the original Xenadrine where I lost the 40 lbs. of extra weight I carried without having to do any extra exercise. Now I wait!
